    Default Guild's Crazy Opportunity Quilt

My guild sisters decided to make a crazy quilt for this year's opportunity quilt. I am very pleased with the results, although I think sashing and borders would have improved the overall effect. Our fair judge awarded it "best handwork", so it obviously wasn't just my good opinion.

I think I already shared pix of my 5 blocks. I used ideas from Judith Baker Montano's books. I especially liked the embroidered trees, which I had never tried before. The judge commented that she loved them.

Great quilt and it looks like everyone put a lot of work into their blocks.

Thank you. Anyone considering a crazy quilt should find one of Montano's excellent books. I have 3 which I love. I lent them to the guild for this job.
