Another Linda here! But I'm a lot older at nearly 75. I never asked Mama why she named me that!

When I was in middle school, in one of my classes there were 5 Linda's, the first 4 names on the roster were Linda with last names beginning with A, B, C and D. And my mother thought the name was not so common.

My mother's name is Linda and she is in her early 60's. She said there were so many Lindas in her class, she wanted something "different" for me. I was born prematurely and she didn't have a name picked out yet, but after just a few days she came up with the name Laurlyn. Not many of us around for sure!! LOL

Here I am, another Linda. The name was very popular in the 1940's.

Another "Linda" here too, born in 1949, dropped the 'duh' when I was about 14. I just go by Lin now. growing up in Southern California, I was the only Linda in my class (large) class. We had a Belinda and a Melinda, and even a Jolinda. The 2 classes ahead of me were 'linda' packed however. I guess out near Hollywood the trend peaked earlier.

However, there were 3 of us girls that shared the same birthday. Sandy and Sharon were twins and I was older than one and younger than the other.

Joining the group.....Linda.....late 60's....grew up and went to school with Linda Kaye and I am Linda Faye.

There were three Lindas at the TX campground last winter and we were all parked next to each other. Fun!

My name is Linda. I was born 2/16/1940. I have met a lot of Linda's, but none as old as I am. Mom said she saw the name in the newspaper and liked it. I like my name.

My name is Linda and I am older than 60 (2/12/1941). I really don't like the name, but I am stuck. In 4th grade there were five of us. How confusing.
