    Default Templates

I am very artistically challenged and would like to know where I can get various templates. If they aren't plastic, maybe I could use cardboard templates and cut them out of plastic. I need a giraffe template around 6 - 7". Where can I find them. I would be willing to pay for them.

Have you looked at coloring books or childrens story books? You might try Googling color pages.

I find so many of my templates just by entering the word into google. Coloring books are great and so are coloring pages found on the net all for free.

I happened upon this site from the links section and on this site is a giraffe quilt. Maybe you could contact this person and she would share....she seems very open to sharing.

I buy lots of wooden shapes when they are on sale, sometimes 4/$1. I get them at Joanns, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, etc. I have all kinds of animals, insects, flowers cars & trucks, etc.

Another suggestion is to take a paper pattern to a home improvement store (like Home Depot) or a glass shop & have them cut you a template. I've done that numerous times & found the templates to be very economical & accurate.

I have used coloring pages for years -- love the idea of using the wooden shapes.
