Good job buying a Janome. I just found out my daughter wants a sewing machine for Christmas...just a starter one. What should I get her? My first sewing machine was from Montgomery Wards and they dont exist any more.

Please advise me on the 625-I sewing machine. I can't find it anywhere on the net. I want a new machine. Does it do embroidery? Is it a good quilter?
Thanks.

Congratulations on your upgrade. It IS exciting to get a new sewing machine and to try using new thread. I just started playing around with a machine I bought a few years ago and found options I didn't know it had so it's like getting a new machine all over again. What fun, huh?

I also had/have a Brother and upgraded to a Janome and I love it. Have fun learning how to use all the bells and whistles.

Oh! I know the joy of going from a sewing machine to A SEWING MACHINE!!! I never get tired of telling my handsome husband how much I LOVE my new, it's four years old, machine. I told if the house every catches fire, it's family pictures and my sewing machine that have first priority on the evacuation list.
