Found the Carbona Reusable (good for 30 loads) Color Grabber at Big Lots today... bought every one of them on the shelf because they were just $2.00 each. My WalMart no longer carries them.

I pre-wash all of my fabrics. Instead of doing multiple washes, I toss in this color grabber to grab the excess dye.

I throw several color catchers in the washer with my quilts -- always works. I always wash my quilts before giving to the recipient, and I give color catchers with my quilts, too, so folks will wash the first few times with them.
