Default DWR done at last (mistake and all)

My daughter's bridal shower is just around the corner. A dear friend worked endless hours to help me complete this DWR for my daughter. We both say never again to the method we used to make the quilt (Rings that Bind). All said and done...it's a gift of love not a blue ribbon contender.

I'm sure your daughter will be delighted with it. ....and to think, it's done BEFORE the shower!

Can you expound upon why the Rings That Bind method was a never-again'er?? I bought the book & template set but haven't dived in yet. Any of your hard-earned advice would be appreciated.
