    Default 17 yards of batik

I purchased a total of +- 17 yards of batik mostly fat quarters and some fat eights from eBay. The colors are blues, greens, pinks, oranges and multicolored pieces with yellow on them. They started arriving yesterday and now I am am looking for ideas for a quilt. I would like to showcase the fabric, so I do not want to cut the fabric too much and I am looking for suggestions. This will be for my bedroom. Thanks a lot!

Square in a square or bento box would be pretty in batiks. I've also seen batiks used for Shadow box and it's beautiful.

That is a stunning one but you don't need to buy the pattern. It's just a basic design - squares, sashings and corner stones. You determine the size of the squares and the sashings/corner stones.

Do you have a solid dark fabric for the sashings?

Yes, I was thinking of doing it without pattern. It is fairly simple design. I have charcoal gray Kona solid that would be perfect. Thank you! I have about 3 yards which should be ok.
