For me, I'll be thrilled to receive whatever surprises come my way!

I haven't started my blocks, though I have been thinking of what I will do, and I think I have that figured out!!! And I vow to one and all that I will get them done according to the deadline ... even if in the meantime that means I get nothing else done!

Carrie, I only made the suggestion as requests were starting to pop up ... and I fear I will not remember when the time comes and/or will miss some of the requests, as I will be away for another couple of weeks again, soon. I've missed so much this last while, and hopefully won't mess up!! I just hope we don't get too buried in rules!!!

I also will be happy with whatever you ladies make. I'm so impressed by your skills and color choices. I plan to make a wall hanging out of them to hang in my sewing room to remind me of this great pony ride.

I'm off to a quilt show (and a FART) today. Will let you know if anything interesting follows me home LOL>

OMG Ggal your quilt top is drop dead gorgeous, I love love love your connecting blocks with the curve, did you have a pattern that gave you the inspiration, I am always intrigued as to how someone comes up with these fantastic ideas.
I see patterns and put them in my memory bank but I think it is full

I am happy with whatever blocks, color, design etc I receive

Thanks, Mirabelle. The setting block is from a Kansas Troubles pattern called Skipping Stones. It is a simple four patch done in HST with raw edge appliqué for the design element. They really went together fast and showed me that I still need to do more work with values. Some of my lights became mediums and some blocks lost their punch. Right now the appliqué is only glued on so when I do the quilting, attaching the appliqué will be the quilting. I've never done anything like that before and am keeping my fingers crossed. How is your Jamestown coming? I'm keeping an eye out for Bonnie's mystery quilt.
JanR...that's so sweet that you're making a wall hanging of the bonus blocks. Actually a very good idea.
I won't limit anyone in their bonus block for me. My quilt has just grown without a plan so anything will fit somewhere!

    MiraB .... read my siggy!

JanRN ... here's to a fun day ... and a good ol' FART! Perhaps some photos to show us from the show?

GGal ... Don't fret about the lights that became mediums, and mediums that became darks ... I think that's part of what was helping to blend it all together nicely I was really amazed at how the design of the Skipping Stones showed (note, I've dropped Irish Chain-look!) and yet didn't detract from the PC blocks. They work well togehter. Good idea on the raw edge applique ..... perhaps you'd show us a closer up view so we can see the design of the SS blocks? Please? and Thanks!

QNSue ... I've been doing the Vicks Bobby Sox routine the last few nights ... and things aren't budging on this cold. What do you suggest next?

JanRN ... follow up from your earlier post that I just read yesterday! Did you do the sensory quilt/blanket for your friend? If you're still looking for info, google "tactile blanket" plus there's been several threads here. Some ideas ... velcro for those pockets and do a pocket within a pocket, within a pocket!! Minkee, corduroy, velvet, embroidery, snaps, eyelets with string or ribbon or fabric to lace thru, faux fur, pin tucks, ruching (sp?) etc. And of course, maybe you have completed it ... though you may want to make another one!

Ladies ... I have a question for you!

I so wanted to see your block groupings and went off ISO ... has there been a grouping thread since the block 45 milestone? Or did I miss it with my cold induced dead brain?

I'm not part of this particular quilt-along but am really enjoying your beautiful work. I have a question: what does FWS stand for??? I've seen the various posts & groups and I'm baffled!!! Thanks for 'educating' me.
