Default beginner & wanting to learn

Hello I am Speedy48 and thats because I don't have enough patience to sew.
I want to learn now that I've retired. Always admire beautiful quilts that are home made.
I am hoping the first one I make would be just as pretty.

HI "Speedy" I am from Co. I took up quilting because I thought (thought) that I had a chance of getting the seams straight because most of them are short,. I took it up about 12 years ago,(Iam 70) and just love it. Have fun, we are just getting good, Have a glorious day. JO

Hello Speedy. Welcome from Dallas Tx. area. Get a little patience and get started. Don't be afraid to ask questions. This board has a lot of really good people on here, and they will help you over and over.

A big SHO-ME welcome from Missouri! My advice would be to start with something easy - my first quilt, started about 45 years ago is still unfinished in my closet because I thought that I could do a very hard pattern as I had sewn lots of clothing - but I was wrong.

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. I suggest you check out some of Jenny Doan's youtube videos for the Missouri Star Quilt Co. She has great patterns for easy tablerunners to full size quilts.

Hey Speedy sounds like the Jelley Roll Race is your quilt!! Quilting will teach you patience. After you rip out the same seam 4 times because it keeps coming out wrong. You will find your "Zone" where nothing else around you matters but getting that row straights and all the seams match up!
