I guess I should of done this when I first joined. I think I was intimidated ! I have been sewing practically my whole life but never quilted. It scared me to death just looking at all the beautiful quilters and how difficult they are. I guess I just decided to jump in after having the material laying around for two years to make my mother in-law a quilt. I finally can see squares instead of the whole design which makes it more manageable for me. I have a very long way to go but with all of your help and guidance I think I am finally on my way. I have four daughters, and nine grandchildren that each would love a quilt hahahaha, so many quilts so little time![Wink](https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/wink.png)

Welcome, from a Buckeye that lives in NM! I have only been quilting about 4 years now, never did any sewing prior to that. The best SPIRAL bound book on quilting that always helps me is "Complete Guide to Quilting" by Better Homes and Garden - wonderful pictures!
