I'm working on an Arabian Lattice that I got from John Flynn. I have all but the last row sewn, and then to sew the rows, etc. I haven't decided on how to quilt it yet, but it is my SOs Christmas present. Reds, whites, and blacks, in a whole lot of patterns. I am sure he will love it.

I haven't had time for any quilting today. Went to church this morning and then returned home with the whole family to slow smoke ribs and carve pumpkins. We now have nine masterpieces from myself, DH, 4 DS, 2 DIL, and 1 girlfriend. Everybody said is seemed like Christmas without all the expense of gifts. It was one of those days you want to keep forever. Tomorrow I hope after work I have some time and energy to finish quilting a queen size snowball and 9-patch for DS's girlfriends' birthday on the 11th. She requested one like the one on his bed and brought fabrics from childhood curtains, and other things that had good memories. I've had a huge headache with the tee shirt strip on the backing, but I know it will be well loved and appreciated. Reading these posts I'm getting motivated to use up the 2 1/2 inch strips I cut from all my scraps soon. I just mailed out a DP9 baby quilt made from some of the 4" squares I cut from my scraps.

Wanted to work on neighbor gifts for Christmas, but instead I'm sorting fabric into bundles for projects. Will be pre- washing like colors and pressing fabrics so that I can just focus on sewing another day.

I am taking a break from quilting for a few days. I crawled around on the floor pinning a quilt(5 hrs from taping the backing to last pin) and found muscles I didn't know I had. LOL So sore. Don't feel too bad though, the 39 yr old that was helping me is in pain too. And she works out on a semi regular basis.

I have severe tendonosis in my left thumb/wrist so am trying to find something I can do (quilting related) that won't worsen the condition & that I can manage with the splint I have to wear. I'm really going through quilting withdrawal. Is anyone else out there as addicted to quilting as I am? lol
