    Default Hi from N.W. Illinois

I'm relatively new to quilting and have enjoyed many of the posts so far. I'm anxious to try the Elmers School glue since I never seem to get the backing as tight/even as it should be. Does the ESG work on polyeter batting?
    Thanks

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. I have used Elmer's washable glue on my binding but I have not used it or basting. I like to use Hobbs 80/20 fusible batt on my quilts. Members rave about 505 basting spray and some have mentioned basting with Elmer's glue. Since I haven't used them, I can't comment.

Welcome from NY!! I have never used glue for my backing. I do use basting spray such as 505. With basting spray you can reposition your fabric. I do not think you can do that with glue.
