Thanks everyone for you sweet comments. I used a zig-zag stitch on the binding. Now I will tie the quilt in purple yarn. I will not be machine or hand quilting the layers because I don't want to take the chance at messing it up, since I have never done either method before. Eventually I want to learn to machine quilt and maybe some day be brave enough and motivated enough to hand quilt.
