Any universal short shank 1/4" foot should fit your Janome. Try the one from your Brother as I think it will fit. I know that I use my old Singer buttonholer on my Janome 6500 and it works just fine. Bernina or Husqvarana feet will not fit a Janome but there is no reason that Brother feet should not work.

The Organ needle will work fine. I love my 1/4" foot. I took hot pink nail lacquer and polished the tip of the guide. I was surprised at what a difference that made in the ability to see it. Maybe you could try that.

Thank you everyone! Glad to know I can use the Organ needles and that there is another convertible foot out there I might like better.
I think the guide is great for piecing blocks, but sometimes I want to stitch thicker stuff with a 1/4" seam and that guide seems to get in the way more than it helps.
Thanks again

My Viking and Bernina have 1/4" feet and the 1/4" feet with the guide. The ones with the guide are true 1/4". They are bigger than 1/4" if I have the fabric go up against the guide. So I don't use those. Waste of money IMO!
