I have the iPad 3 and I do love it but.... if you want to take it with you when you leave the house, the new smaller one is probably a better idea. It's about Kindle size and weighs less than the iPad 3. Good luck to you whatever you choose.

I love my I Pad. For all of the reasons listed. I love to have it in my sewing area, I can look up anything.

Responding to the post about the IPod. If you don't mind the screen size and if you can find and old IPhone that is really cheap or even free and you have access to WI-Fi you can use the IPhone to download stuff. It is still a phone, however, the phone part is disabled. You can download internet, get your e-mail. play games. etc....

There are lots more things it can do but I am still learning.

I can't find an MSQC app. Can you help? Also, how do you take a pic of what's on your screen? I LOVE my iPad and would hate to live without it.

I am thinking of getting a Kindlefire HD or a Nexus 7 tablet. Thanks for this subject. Want to read books on it; also surf the web. Maybe I should look at the Galaxy; wondering which is easiest to use.

thanks

I've never been a person who needed the lastest technology to be happy, but the I-Pad is something that is calling my name. I want mine to be linked to my Verizon account though, so I don't have to be tied to wi-fi, for example when we are traveling and I can use it in the car. I like the idea of Black Friday or holiday purchase.

I'm holding out for a convertible ultrabook. The iPad is okay, but I need waaaay more functionality than what it provides. It drives me crazy that I can't multi-task and have more than one application open at a time. I also want to be able to run programs like EQ and PhotoShop, which you can't do on an iPad. A convertible ultrabook is a combination of an iPad and a laptop.
