    I would use a thin wool batting. It lasts such a long time, and is warm, but not heavy.

    Oh My Heavens....love everything about the quilt! It must be so fun to have sisters who help you with projects, especially one so work intensive. A beautiful result.

    With your skills at the machine, you needn't be concerned about hand quilting! I also like the brown "paths" Mine are all in green, and I'm getting a bit tired of green. Had never thought of brown. I need to start thinking outside the traditional. Again, your GFG is so lovely.
