I have the 6.5" HST bloc loc ruler and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! It really does lock onto your seam making it both fast and accurate for all sizes up to 6.5"! It also keeps my fingers out of the way when trimming the smaller HSTs. If you can see it demonstrated at a quilt show you'll be amazed!

OK, so even if you love the 6.5", would you bother buying the 1.5", 2.5", 3.5", 4.5" and 5.5" rulers as well?

Financial planning advice aside, I just can't see the need.

But I am loving my nesting octagon and hexagon rulers.

I have the cutting corners ruler and learned to use it in a class taught by her ... it's been over a year and I will have to go back and read the directions ... but at the time it seemed worth the money and very versatile! ... hmmm ... I wonder if she has youtube demo's?

No, I wouldn't buy the smaller sizes. I use my 6.5" for all of those sizes. They do have rulers larger than the 6.5" too, but I've never made larger HSTs, so this ruler works for all my needs. I may buy the Bloc Loc Flying Geese ruler in the future because I do make a lot of flying geese too. Their rulers definitely make my life easier!!
