ShiAnnF, I can so totally identify with having trouble picking out colors for a quilt. I always feel so lame because I just think everything goes together and the sometimes I am shocked when I get it done and I don't really like it. But then after a little bit it grows on me and I think that it's ok and not so bad after all. I think we criticize ourselves more harshly then anyone here would ever do. I have tried using the color wheel and I still mess up. So what I have been doing is going with colors that come in a set from a designer. LOL. Not much imagination there I guess.
But I don't think you ever have to worry about anyone here ever saying anything bad about the colors we pick. I think that when YOu get your's put together you will see how wonderful it looks. I like the sunny colors.

I think I am spelling it wrong. It is another cake cut up into squares. You can have lemon filling in the middle and then the top has a red frosting covered with coconut shreaded on it. You can also put raspberry jelly in the middle. So hope you all enjoy them. they are in the dessert car. Oh an I also made everyone a flat white coffee. The closest thing in America might be a latte. It is very yummy and that is coming from a non coffee drinker. LOL. Enjoy. I love to see what you all are doing....all the colors. I want to do this when I come home...so I may not look at the last clue. Hmmmmm but then I probably will because I won't be able to wait to see how all of you put it together.
PS I forgot they are ready for afternoon tea.
I need a picture of that cake, I am trying to imagine it but dont't see the wings? But it all sounds so yummy. I love the lemon with coconut and raspberry jelly! Now I am really hungry!

Jaba/Jan I love your sub-fabric, it really looks good with the original. I got my step finished and used the new fabric for the two triple strips, and I had enough of the original for the 4.5 strips. I don't have a picture but will get a camera before I finish this quilt!

I actually have quite a bit of leftover fabric for all except the B and D fabrics. I either had more than I needed or bought extra. So if I want I can make something to match my quilt.

I have part of Clue 6 done. Will do the other half when we get home on Monday. We're heading out for Texas this morning to spend Thanksgiving with my relatives. I would bring it with me to work on at Mom's, but I have a quilt that needs to be finished by Nov 30 and will be working on that instead.

Almost done with Clue 6. Just a bit more cutting to do. The "black" is a mottled deep evergreen. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
