shi, and urg, i'm terrible with colors also. i mean i could/have matched some awful colors at times. my solution was to just go with the ones in a multicolor fabric. i'll pulll the colors out of it, and or match with white.
or, i know fall colors, or go with variations of the same color. trying to remember that i'm using either bold colors, or subdued colors. one or the other.

And of course, you can copy someones color combinations that you have seen that look nice together.

All finished and ready for the next step. Since I will be working Fri, Sat and Sun not sure when I will get to work on the next clue. Maybe not until Mon (if my grandson naps) or Tue AM before going to work.

I am so curious to see how these quilts will go together as many of them seem like two separate quilts. So I am totally excited to see all of you finish.

I am slowing getting caught up. I have all my 1/2 square triangles made and squared up, all my nine-patches made and all 3 diagonal stips made. Hopefully tonite and tomorrow, I can get the last clue done. Then I need to get some stuff ready for a workshop on Monday. I made a jelly roll race for the base of one project, but need to add borders on to it. I will try to post some pictures on Saturday.

I love seeing everyones progress. The combinations are just amazing. One of the reasons I love taking workshops is seeing what the rest of the class does with the same pattern.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. Dungeonquilter, you're further than I am. I'm ready to start my diagonal strips. I'd like to be caught up by Saturday. I need to stay out of the dining car eating holiday yummies and sew. I dropped off pumpkin pie and apple bars for dessert.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! What a wonderful day it is! And I am so glad to have so much to be thankful for!

I am being thankful for my wonderful hubby and going to watch football instead of sew! Well for at least part of the day!

OK, did anyone else feel like today was Saturday? Where is my clue... LOL....

I am actually thinking seriously about going shopping tomorrow.

    1. I am not a "Shopper" normally I hate it.
    2. Crowds really bug me, I hate getting bounced and pushed by strangers!
    3. Do I really Need it?
    4. I could stay home and sew!
    5. I hate driving in busy traffic especially in the parking lots where people make up their own rules.

But... man some of the sales are really tempting, fabric for $3.00 a yard! Designer fabrics! Oh Posh, I don't need it! Dang but what a deal~ Feel free to step in at any time and tell me you views!

Hummmm, I think this argument might go on for quite a while. I will let you know what side wins.... My main focus is getting a new camera, but I am searching on line too!

Ok you all are great photographers. I suck. I had to steal one battery from the tv to get the camera to start but it wouldnt show the screen. I got one pic before it died out again. This is it. What it doesnt show is the strips from this weeks clue that are all finished too! ahh. but the concept of the colors is there and I am doing it! as of last week I was ready to quit hadnt even made my nine patch til last Sunday and now.. getting there. I will be able to finish I hope. I seem to have tons of the four abcd fabrics just a bit of the white and purple left but almost identical substitute fabrics to fill in for sashing etc if large pieces will be needed. tada! and I love it too seeing how we all take one project and how completely different it looks just by changing the colors up.

Everyone second guesses their color choices. and it is hard to see the final picture sometimes when you get started on a project but like this one that 45 degree angle strip really showcased how your colors will do together over all. I love it. and these are all fabrics I was gifted and had no clue how to use.
