I see a wonderful surprise that made me laugh. But I know the feeling of wanting to scream

It took me a while to find the mistake, and then it made me smile. I'd like to see it left there, but if it would bother you too much, you should fix it. Lovely quilt!

well I found the boo boo but it would not be the first time I missed something like that.
It'll make a good story of the one that almost got away...

So sorry that happened. I was so good at doing this that a friend told me to go to a hardware store (lowe's, menards etc) and buy a door peep hole thingma jig and always look thru that. It shows any mistakes and colors that need to be moved. I love it. Beautiful quilt by the way

how lucky is that to find it before finishing. Patten looks complicated so it is understandable that something like this can happen in the piecing.

Your lucky day!
peace

I don't think non-quilters will notice. Just call it "creative license" and go with it.

Been there, done that, and unfortunately a few times after it's quilted and bound. Oops. Unless it's really glaring then, I leave it alone - after all don't the Amish put an intentional mistake in a quilt because only God is perfect. Unfortunately, I don't have to make the mistake intentional very often. LOL

OK, I really had to study it but I did locate it. I would call that artists interpretation and go with it.
