    Default Dating vintage White machines...

Trying to help a friend put a date to her "new" vintage White machine. I'm guessing its from the late 60s or early 70s. I know I've seen at least one of these posted somewhere here. The serial number is 12282. She picked it up off craigslist with the corner cabinet for 20 bucks and it is in working condition. I think she got a pretty good deal. Anyone know where I can help her locate info on the age of the machine?

Wow, I sure do like that set-up. I don't have any info, but the whole deal is good.

Have her call Husqvarna. They bought out White. I called them to get a date on my White Rotary and mine was born in 1949.

ISMACS digest -- I have shared this information with two people now in the last couple of days and both times I had to go back through old emails to find it - one would think I could remember something that I get a email from every day - but, I guess not.

They were able to help me date my White Rotary that I purchased this summer.

We contacted Husqvarna and that didn't help. Seems they are missing some of their records from this era. I know I've seen this machine on here before. Its got those pink and white horizontal stripes, though they aren't very visible in the photo. I'll see if I can find another machine and get an idea from that one.
