Sorry I was trying to quote Karo, hope I didn't offend you (Karo) by messing up your post. So how old is old? I just had a precious lady use my quilting machine that was 92 a few days ago. She started using the machine when she was 89. She is an amazing lady. Still plays golf.

I love reading the stories about families quilting together - think of the
memories you are making and sharing. It's just wonderful to hear.

When I started teaching sewing in my home it was to the young ladies in my church. I didn't charge. I just wanted to share the craft. This was nine years ago. Today I ran in to one of those young ladies at Joann's. She still sews and is very creative.
