What a wonderful labor of love. You did a superb job. When I was a little girl, my grandmother cross stitched my name on a sheet set for me. These many years later, the sheets were falling apart and I cut out the part with my name and made a pillow. I use it every day in my favorite chair. You made a lovely heirloom, congratulations!

How wonderful. If your GD doesn't want may be it could be placed in a quilt museum just for the story, and the amount of years the quilt covers. Not to mention the workmanship.

Your quilt will be cherished for generations to come. Hand quilting is a dieing art and yours deserves to be applauded as well as admired. You deserve a pat on the back for the tons of hours that has gone into all of those beautiful stitches.
