This is perfect. As for bright it goes in between dull and outrageous. It is beautiful and at 30 she will love that GG made it

I don't think its bright at all. Looks like a quilt a 30 something would like, not sure its bright enough for a 7 year old.
Needs some print fabric, too many solid fabrics, a bit bland looking. Maybe a nice big print border will do the trick.

what goes around generally comes around, who is to say it will not be popular when she is 30 and she will rejoice at your innovative style. LOL

It's beautiful! Whether 7 or 30, she'll love it. These are ageless colors!

I'm almost above the speed limit in Texas! ! ! LOL
I love the quilt, but I printed out a color picture of what you had done, and something hit me in the eye. The pink frame joins a pink center in several places. That produces an X of pink. I think it takes away from the overall look of the squares. Take a step back with a door peephole, a mirror, or a camera, and see if you really like it that way. Since the blocks are not yet sewn together, now is your chance to change it if you wish. It could be you won't be able to change it because a lot of blocks in the same row have the same color center. Otherwise, I think the quilt is just beautiful. I would love it at any age.

Your quilt is great! So fun- bright colors- eye catching design. I haven't read all the replies, but maybe someone else said what I'm going to say. Don't worry about what she may or may not like at 30! Give her what she would like NOW! Her tastes may change, but she will always treasure the quilt!
