Right now, a moving van. We're getting new neighbors who have nice furniture. No kids, apparently because I haven't seen any toys or kiddie stuff going in. Other than that, just our trees, blowing in the wind and the street. Once in a while, a car comes by. We live on a cul-de-sac, so there isn't much traffic. I see Tebow, the other neighbor's basset hound lying in the street. I think the warm pavement feels good to him.

We got about 7" of very wet, heavy snow yesterday...after 3 hours of shoveling on my own, and only being about 2/3 done with one part of my driveway, and still the longest part to go, I had helpers show up with a snowblower...and the rest of the job was done in 30 minutes. Very thankful for the help!

It's been rainy, very cold, dreary typical winter days here in Salem. Had a little bit of sunshine just before I went out for lunch (of course it was gone by the time I went outside!). It's supposed to be overcast, rainy, and windy for the next few days. We have family coming from overseas Sunday night (from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) and they're used to summer -- what a shock THIS will be!

I see the Albemarle Sound. . . always beautiful, always changing. We moved here from WV where we got to see the ground for 36 hours two winters ago. It was beautiful but this Carolina girl is glad to be back in my home state where snow comes but doesn't hang around much!
Stay warm and enjoy the holiday in your wonderland.
