hobbykat1955; great work, I got a Viking Ruby last yr and then in May I got the 5D pro because of all that it could do, the portraits, cutwork (love this) and many other things. I just got the Stitch Editor Plus (new upgrade) and love how much easier and better it adds the trim commands to designs with lots of jump stitches, I also use it to get rid of all unneeded stitches. I haven't tried the portrait part yet so I'm hoping its not that hard to learn. I'll probably take the classes from mypatience before I start; this is a great website for 4D and 5D. My teacher at the LQS loves his books

I have THOUGHT about getting one, but quite frankly there
has NEVER been a cheap enough offer to entice me enough
to get one.

All I have are oodles of quilting magazines, and MOST of them
are history when they expire.

I get ALL my embroidery info online.

I have the 4D Professional and Family Portrait and have gone back and forth re: upgrading to 5D...I did sit at the computer at Viking and play with the Picture Stiitch in 5D to see if there were any major changes worth putting the money into it but didn't feel the need...since little change...I'll have to look into the website you quoted...thanks

Quilty Louise I bow down to you one of our many embroidery goddess! As for the jump stitches I always have to remember to keep it on the on mode. And those blankets are adorable. I have yet to try fleece a bit intimidated by it but yours came out wonderful! I am going to be making the snowflakes tomorrow for the Sandy Hook Elementary drive. I'll make them green and white since those are their school colors. I'll post pics when I'm done.

LOL

qn4e you crack me up!!! embroidery goddess? oh that is a good one
I will have to tell my hubs you said so.

Of course he may disagree with you on that.

But thank you for boosting my ego.

If you go to embroidery library they have a FSL snowflake that is in
3 sizes and is FREE along with an address for the Sandy Hook drive.

You have until January 10, 2013 to download this design.

I went to download the design but I already have it (didn't know it until it alerted me!) so off to the machine today to do the snowflakes. The children and adult's families are in my prayers. Merry Christmas all!

Did you have all 3 sizes? I already had the medium size so all
I got was the two that I didn't have.

Plus I am stitching out some of the other snowflakes that I have.
Got BOTH machines going.

There is 1 soaking, 1 in hoop finished, and 2 stitching out.
