Welcome, Tracy, glad you joined us. I, too, like your avatar.

You asked how I got into making quilts for foster kids. I was a social worker for 30 years! Now I'm retired and several of us who worked together now quilt together so we continue a quilts for kids project that started many, many years ago by a couple of caring nice ladies. If you are serious about getting involved go see your local Child Protective Services agency and ask to speak to the Supr. or Manager and tell them what you'd like to do. I bet they'll JUMP at the chance to get quilts for the kids. Let me know what you find out.

Hi Traci and welcome to a great place.
Hope to see lots of pics of your projects, I am still a beginner, probably will be for the next ten years lol.

WOW.. I would say you were busy. I am busy to some degree, but I have pretty good kids and they are 4 and 5 months so they are starting to play together and entertain eachother and themselves. I love being home with them, and like I said I have many projects going on at any given time since I am only able to work on it here and there. Thanks for welcoming me!!
