On the buas are color spots, those are the solid colors that are used inyour print. Mat hup to those.
or try to buy fabs cromsame manufacturer. Hope that helps a bit.

I make a lot of bags and all different color combos. I start with one main color and find several prints with that color (won't use them all, but need to see choices)....I love bright colors/prints, so sometimes I can even find a stripe that works well with one of the prints....next I look for a solid in that main color for the lining.....I end up with three fabrics that all contain the same basic color and all "play well" with each other. If you can find a collection of fabrics (easier online or at LQS), they will almost always work together....takes the work out of the process.

If these purses are for you can you match the colors to the outfit you want to carry the purse with and still not have it be "matchy matchy" like purses used to be? It is very nice to have a special purse for each outfit.

I like to use groups from the same manufacturer. A big print for the body, darker print for the lower section/bottom to hide the dirt and a lighter for the inside with some of the upper or lower fabric for the inside pockets and covering on the Masonite board in the bottom.

I usually use a interesting print for the main fabric, and solids to coordinate

I never use solids unless i have a coordinate for the inside of the purse. I would use a mottled or tone on tone for interest. I tend to use fabric from the same collection of fabrics. The colors are coordinated.
