    Default January NewFO

I found an online group that is dedicated to starting something new every month. Finishing doesn't matter, it's all about starting something new and having fun. This was so what I needed to find!!!

I've been holding myself back from starting a new project with some fat quarters I had of Sakura Park. I've been just itching to use it but there was always something else that needed doing.

Yesterday I set myself free to play!!! As the fabrics are so delicate and pretty, I decided to do a simple 9 patch. I used light pink grunge for the alternating squares in the 9 patch block. I had planned on using a light cream grunge for the alternating blocks but once I had it up on the wall the cream turned yellow. So a trip to the quilt shop is in order to find the perfect fabric for the alternating blocks. Wahoo!

Looks like fun to me !! Does your Block Butler stay on the wall or do you have to use push pins to keep it up? Ours at work keeps falling off the wall, we finally put some thumb tacks in it ..... lol

    Thanks for looking!

Auntie B, it stays where it is, there are legs on the back (like tent pole legs) so I can use it out in the middle of the room if I want, however, we live in a mobile home so space (especially width size) is tight. It is leaning ever so slightly against the wall, held in place by my sewing table legs. So far it works.
