Question Singer 99K Sewing Machine Accessories

I recently purchased a 99K. I was wondering if I could use any of the feet and accessories that I have for my Singer 306W and Singer 401A with this machine.

The 99k is a low shank machine so the 306 feet should work but the 401A (slant shank) feet won't.

I got a 99k a couple months ago...in a cabinet (still needs to be refinished) for only $20! I REALLY didn't need any more machines but, for that price, I couldn't pass it up!

Anyway, I absolutely LOVE it! It sews beautifully & it's just so darn cute. I hope you're as happy with yours!

Path49 - Thank you for your reply. The machine should be delivered by the end of the week. Like you I didn't need another machine. My count is now 15. But I love these vintage machines. My 306W was the machine my mother sewed on so she's really special to me.

I have a 201-2 (1938) that was my great aunt's, then my mom's, & now mine. And a Montgomery Ward Supreme Reversible Rotary (1949) & a Reversew (1937) that belonged to my grandma. So I understand how much those machines that were in the family can mean to you....

I have my grandmother's 1907 Singer 27 in treadle and I love it. I can remember sitting in her lap and "sewing" while she treadled away! My DGKs are so not interested in anything that isn't electronic or computerized, they will never have memories like I have of the simple things in life.

Kids today have no idea what they are missing, so many wonderful memories us old folks have, family, 0playing outside until dark and coming home then, freedom we had they don't today, so they stay glued inside to TV, Video games, and unless they live in country, I feel sorry for many of them, because they have no idea what they are missing.
