    I see that little butterfly and think "crazy quilt" -- what if you tried a test and did the center as a crazy quilt block and inserted the appliques into that as our quilting ancestors did so long ago? I bet it would look really great....

    I love how you incorporated your Mom's work. Your piecing is spot on with fabulous circles. I love the scrappy look of your colors. Great job.

    I like it but perhaps if your fans were longer and your center circles smaller, you would like it better.

    I like it, the colors are great, and the embroidered center adds to it. If you do not like the background, you can try other variety of colors, light pink, green, blue. I think it would look good in any background.
