Shoes on with my FW. Old still foot is funny and works better with shoes on. Shoes off with the other machines. I am a barefoot gal in the house.

I always sew bare foot. I have better control barefoot than I do with shoes on.

I almost always kick off my right foot when I sew...even did this years ago when I was taking Home Ec in school. I feel like i have a better touch control without shoes. I might wear socks if it's really cold.

I'm one of those who will quilt barefoot in the summer and thin socks in the winter. I have to be able to feel the foot petal under my foot or else I can't control the speed. lol

I'm a slipper kinda gal -no shoes in the house! Tried wearing shoes when I sew but no go-just can't manage the shoes. Slippers save feet from pins etc. Now that I have a 4 month old kitten it's doubly important as he loves my pin cushions! Love having him keep me company but he's DANGEROUS!!!

I wear my left shoe, but just can not sew with the right shoe on. I can not feel the presser foot right with the shoe on.

Wow, this is quite a long thread but I'll add my two cents worth. My shoes come off as soon as I enter the house. I'll be barefoot in the warm weather and my feet are ALWAYS cold in the cold weather so usually it's two pairs of socks and sometimes three!
