What do you all wear on your feet when you are at your machine?
After reading about all these barefoot sewers , I think I will try it next time.

socks or barefooted...I don't wear shoes in my house and really don't have a reason...if you came over I would let you keep your shoes on!

I always sew barefoot. I guess once in a while in socks, thin socks. Also I play the organ barefoot. Seems the thing to do.

I just recently found out about sewing in socks. I do feel I have better control in socks vs shoes. I usually wear clogs around the house, so I just slip off the right one and when I need to get up and walk somewhere, I can just slip my clog back on. I have switched to wearing wool sox now that it below zero outside and chilly when I'm not moving around much.

Since I stepped on a needle when I was 15 and on crutches for 3 months after the operatiopn to remove the half that broke off in my foot, my shoes are first thing on and last hing off when I go to bed. My grands and great-grands are fascinated that I always have shoes on and keep suggesting they put shoes on when outside and they must wear them in my house. Why not try shoes instead of socks or slippers?

I'm glad I am not the only one that sews either barefooted or socks. The shoes come off at the door. I have also tried the shoes but no way I use to drive that way too until they changed the laws. LOL

I wear wool socks, that my sister knit for me, in winter & barefoot in summer. Pins no problem have a dark floor.

It is so nice to know I am not alone in the world of sewing without shoes on. At home I never have anything on my feet no matter what is going on. Yep, you can find me cooking Christmas morn barefoot. When I am at a quilting class or sew in I take that shoe off and sew in either a bare foot or a sock in colder weather. What is really funny is if I need to get up from the machine for a break or two and I don't put the shoe back on. There I am hobbling around and everyone laughing. Just another part of making quilting memories.
