Default Warning for bare feet quilters

I did about 6 hours of free motion practice on my old Kenmore without shoes. In the middle of the night I awoke to excruciating pain when my foot tried to stretch out again. Thought I was going to be in the high foot pedal position with pain in the foot forever! It lasted 3 days. I now wear a suportive shoe and take breaks. Best wishes for those of you with strong bare feet. I don't wish this on anyone!

I always sew barefooted. Even when I'm standing doing my long arm quilting I am barefoot. I love the feeling of carpet underneath my feet. Although in the winter time I do put socks on to keep my feet warmer.

I am always barefoot here living in Pa. When it gets too cold like today, I wear slipper socks with them little grippers on the bottom. It helps that I don't slip on the pedal. It just taking getting use to.

Barefoot or wearing socks. I wear shoes pretty much only when I go out of the house (and sometimes not even then).

I always quilt barefooted, when I leave the machine I put on my birki's with socks since my floors are tile and are very cold.

I wear socks summer, spring, fall and winter all the time. I wear socks to bed every night. I cannot stand to walk around on bear floors.

I always sew barefoot to. I can not sew 1/4 inch if I have my shoes or socks on.
