Very pretty quilt. And lucky you to have this family heirloom!

Is it just a small area of the quilt that is still stained? Maybe you could lay it out in the sunshine (while protecting the other parts to keep them from fadining). Good old sunshine gets a lot of stains out.

Delectable Mountain! And wonderful. You are so lucky and no she can't have it back now that you have cleaned it into the beauty it is now!

In the future try not to use bleach on tender old fabric. It is so harsh and can do more damage that will cause the fabric to deteriorate.

Invest in some products that are made for cleaning quilts. The detergents are gentle and non caustic and acid free. Your quilts will love you for it!

    This is a beautiful quilt.

What a lovely quilt and you did a terrific job in removing the stains -- you've saved a part of your family history by doing it. Good job!

I agree with Delectable Mountain variation. I have not seen that variation before.

Whatever the name, that was a great restoration and a very pretty quilt. What a lovely memory!
