I would definitely frame the barn and I would probably put a pieced block (star, etc.) on each corner with the bird/tree/Sam closer to the center....then borders, depending how large you want it. One thing I've learned about quilters.........no two would ever suggest the same layout. Your quilt is just beautiful and I love the barn. Great job!!!

Love your bloaks and love the way you have arranged them. I agree that it would look nice to have the tree in the top left corner and to have flying geese framing the centre block but it all depends on what sort of look you want to achieve. It is lovely as it is and I feel that a plain border as illustrated by your floor looks great and if you like the look then go for it. I sometimes feel that the simpler it is the better. I would be interested to see how you finish the blocks. Thank you for giving us all the opportunity to offer you our thoughts and suggestions. Best wishes.

I would add a border to match the brown one, then another border of the blocks, finishing the sides with your white to even things out. Then I would start to think about the outside borders. But then, I don't like small size quiltings.

I for sure would put a border around it. Very nice blocks.

Really nice job! I would at least add a boarder around the center block.

Cute blocks. I'd switch Sam with the block in the upper left corner and the tree with the blue snails trail. That way, you'd have the "lighter" block on top and "weightier" blocks lower. I'd also sash the barn and then use narrower sashing around the rest of the blocks. I'd make a first border the same size as sashing around the barn and then wider border around that. Size would depend on how large you want the quilt.

nice you will need to put the bottom and top two blocks together and then put in some sashing or flying geese if you sew the 2 middle blocks together that way you will know what size to make you flying geese or sashing best of luck

Looks great to me!!! Elinor Burns has some "American Barns" patterns and she used a red and white checkered border(purina feeds like) really cute, check it out on her media site
