    Default Over 6,400 piece wallhanging

This is my first post, been trying to figure out how. I hope it works. Thanks to all for all the pictures and good info on the board. I usually make bedsize quilts, but made this wallhanging. It is not your usual quilt pattern. It is made from a small portion of a cross stitch pattern. I am sorry, I can't remember the book. It is 40x40 inches not including the border. Each block is 1/2" square. I just matched fabric to
the color needed for the cross stitch thread. Each X on the cross stitch pattern is a 1/2" block.

Wow, that is spectacular. I wish I had that kind of patience and discipline.

All I can say is WOW! I use to x-stitch all the time. Never thought of trying something like this. Great job.

Looks like Ellen Maurer-Stroh's cross stitch to me. I have all her florals in cross stitch. Pretty freakin' cool, if you ask me. Nice job.

My first thought was "HOLY COW". (I must be related to Grama Lehr). This is something else, can't even think how long this took you, and the patience you must have. You have done a work of ART. Thanks for sharing. BrendaK

Thanks for sharing - that is awesome. I had thought about doing that and then when I figured out how many pieces thought better.

It is stunning. I love counted cross stitch too. Did you piece each white background square too?
