Ssnare, you might find some of these free video clips helpful. I enjoyed them......https://www.superiorthreads.com/vide...tional-videos/

Well I need this group. My goal this year is to finish one UFO a month. I generally hand quilt which is very time consuming. So I am now trying QAYG. See if that helps me get going. LOL. The Quilt I am working on to finish this month has gone through several errors. I forgot to square up the blocks before assembly and quilting and you know what happened. I had to take the entire quilt apart and redo. But I am happy with it now and it seems to lie smoothly which it was all wonky before. LOL. Live and learn. Kudos to all of you who have already completed a ufo.

Can't wait To do some more.
One thing I've noticed is that I'm the only one who can see all the imperfections in my work. Great job on the quilt!

Whootttttttttttt whoottttttttttt .... the train whistlesssss welcome to all our new members and wow, we are sure happy to have you joining us!
If you need help, encouragement or just someone to listen when you need to let off some steam, you are in the right place!!!
We are here to do everything except enable you to have more UFOs.... well lol, who am I kidding? Most of us will always have more UFOs... just hopefully we will learn to keep them to managable numbers once we tame the ones we have now.

Not that all of us are hopelessly buried under masses of UFOs. Some just have a few and want to learn from the examples of others and catch them before they overwhelm.

Whatever your situations, we are delighted to have you with us and look forward to seeing your finished projects.
Also, don't forget our sister thread where you can share photos and discussions of your UFO's in progress and you plans on tackling your projects. Hugsssss and smilesssss

I've added borders to one of my UFOs today. It's been put away for now, to wait till I can get batting, backing fabric and thread. On to the next one!

I have had this quilt in progress for over a year. I bought the fabric in November 2011. I cut it out before retreat in March 2012. I think I finished piecing the top in October. I just hung it in a closet because I was sick to death of it. It is my third UFO for the month and the only one I have a picture of. My DIL sent the picture via her cell phone. So, please forgive the quality.

The good news is she absolutely loves it. It is from the Cattails and Clover collection by Kansas Troubles. As soon as I saw the fabric it said, "SARAH!" So, I made this for her from it.

My January finishes......Front flimsy first, then the pieced flannel back.

The strip down the middle is made from a couple of receiving blankets that came home from the hospital with my daughter. I wanted to keep them, but in a useful way. So, I put them in this quilt for her, along with the "label," which is a preprinted block that I wrote on.
