Be glad to get all the info .... Dad ironed and wrapped all the pieces today so they'll fit in the envelopes so I just need to do my labels and notes.

I am new to this swap and have some questions I hope someone will answer.

Will the names that I exchange with be emailed to me or pm on this list?
What is the thread I'm to join for this swap and how do I find that?
What are these side swaps all about?
Am I to mail the blocks back when they are done or do I wait until both of us are done and mail at the same time?
If I do not use all of the fabric sent to me, do I return it?

Have my fat 1/8ths ready to go. There are some very pretty fabrics posted that should make beautiful quilts!

What is the thread I'm to join for this swap and how do I find that? when the groups are made each group will have their own thread

What are these side swaps all about? some people want more blocks so they are oing seperate individual swaps also

Am I to mail the blocks back when they are done or do I wait until both of us are done and mail at the same time? you will receive a Fat 8 from eac person in your group, you use their fat 8 to make their block and send their finished block back to each person, you can keep the leftovers unless otherwise requested

dottie dodge, April will send you an email with the names, addresses, a list to check off when you sent fabric, fabric received, when you finished the block, when you mailed the block, and when you received your block back. April will have a name for each group and she will start a thread for that group. Side swaps are between 2 people that might not be in a certain group. For instance, say you and I are not in the same group and you wanted to make an extra block, you may have said you would do a side swap and I contact you, then we would send each other a f8 and make a block and send it back to the person. Mail the blocks back when you finish them and mark it off your list. Take a picture of the blocks you make and the blocks you receive. Post pictures when you receive a block. If your partners do not have a camera, they may ask you to post a picture after they receive it, this way, they get the surprise of seeing the block first. Most of the time, you can keep the extra fabric, but if someone asks for the left over fabric back,, send it back to them. Hope this helps.

Dottie I will be emailing lists sometime this evening or ridiculously early tomorrow morning to the email addy you provided. Attached to the email will be a spreadsheet with your group info on it.
I assign every group a name and that group gets its own thread. I will post those as soon as I finalize groups and make them
Some people like to exchange blocks on the side if they have extra fabric or want more blocks. This is done outside of the swap and on your own if you choose to do so. It is allowed but be aware I am not responsible to track them down if some of those blocks do not get completed.
You mail the blocks home as you finish or as you wish to as long as they are all mailed home by the established deadline.
You get to keep the leftovers unless someone specifically asks for theirs back.
    Hope this helps.
I am working through groups but I am getting emails about changing group sizes and hurting from the weather and I had hubby's Aunt's services so please bear with me all.
    Hugs
