Default A way to use some of your scraps . . .

. . . let your 5-year-old grandson play! I was working on a baby quilt one day when he was here. He loves to be involved. "Grandma, you have so much fabric that I love!" He knows he can get scraps out of my scrap drawers, so he pulled out one piece and said,"This is the giraffe's head." He then found strips that he wanted me to sew together for the neck and showed me just how I should sew the neck and head together. Next he cut a body and showed me how to attach that to the neck. And then he found two legs and I followed his instructions to attach them to the body. And then he needed a smiley mouth and eyes on both sides of the head. And, judge for yourself, doesn't this look like a giraffe?

Love it! A child's imagination is usually much better than ours. You might get great ideas from him.

So cute; I love to let the little ones sew with me. The giraffe reminds me of a cat one of mine sewed.
