For me the plain beige make the star stand out, but both is lovely.

I agree with Halo that the leaves take away from the star, but I also like the idea of alternating the stars with and without the leaves

my vote is for both. Use the plain one for the lighter stars; use the green leaves for the darker stars. That way, it should balance out and you can still have both fabrics.

I love the fabric with the little green leaves, but I wouldn't use it in this pattern. The seam where the flying geese will make the pattern in the fabric off... That'd make me crazy! I'd use it in a square or triangle where it isn't going to be next to another piece of the same.

Either one of these fabric looks nice, but I prefer the one with leaves.

Without the leaves. The plain fabrics make your stars pop.
