What would you think of a row by row quilt? There would be a theme for each row like, Traditional, log cabins, wonky, pictorial such as flowers, etc. These would have a set sizes for each block & a set number in each row. Then for 1 to 2 months we would work on one row exchanging with others until our row was complete. We could even have a semi-set color theme or background color. Then the next couple of months we'd work on the next row.
This way instead of exchanging just blocks we'd end up with a theme quilt afterwards. Just an idea.

it's an idea! I'll think about it. It will depend on how much interest there is.

Yes, I'd like to join, and I love the idea of a row swap.

Right now, I'm so busy taking care of DH with his COPD issues, I can't commit to any swaps right now but would love to join in at some point. I haven't been near my sewing machine in almost 2 weeks now and miss it so much. But, at least, I can go have fun today at Project Linus' National Blanket Day with my quilting buddy neighbor. We have so much fun and there's usually 8-12 of us every month. I really miss it when I can't go.

I am making some costumes for my photographer husband which will keep me busy for a few days. Hope to join a swap a little later on.

I found this on the board today. Wonderful use of string blocks made by a member ontheriver.
