What a great idea and beautifully done! I have some faux leather scraps around somewhere and will have to try my hand at this. Thanks for sharing.

Other than dont make a mistake. Thanks.
Use teflon foot, lighten foot pressure to 1, use size 14 needle, use pressing cloth & wool setting (then I leave the cloth on top & hand press till cooler--keeps it flatter). Ripping is not advised as it leaves little holes. So, until you know what you're doing, go slowly & carefully. Hope this helps.

Just got the templates, thank you Rhonda.
Now...what blocks do i make with them???
The template looks to be 2-1/2", and a smaller one, an inch
Is there a special block to make with it?

I design my own quilt blocks. the templates are so you can make my designs. You are welcome to use them anyway you like with any quilt block but if you want to make my designs - I usually use a 6 rows of 6 blocks per row. If you use the 2 1/2" to make my quilt blocks you will get a 12 1/2" size unfinished. the 1 1/2" makes a 6 1/2" quilt block.

I teach my cut down method. That means you sew fabric swatches together and then cut out a square from the center. I have 8 diff "Blocks" that I teach you how to make. then you use the "blocks" to sew them into a quilt block.

I also have the Scrap Club Quilt Along you can join if you like - I post a new quilt block every Sunday - but if you want to use the 4 rows of 4 blocks designs you need a 3 1/2" just let me know if you want one of those too.

After you learn to make the "Blocks" you need then you choose a Quilt Block
Then use the layout picture that is shown with the Quilt Block to see how to make your quilt block.

Star Point and Wings blocks- use these in place of the original directions
