    Welcome!!
You'll enjoy the experience and we'll look forward to seeing your quilt, as it develops, block by block.

As you complete your blocks, be sure to post them to the threads (two blocks per thread).
I'm sure many of us will be there to ooooh and aaaah and help encourage you to keep on and get all the blocks done and into a quilt!

Do you have any plans re the colours in your quilt?

    Good Luck!

Yes, QuiltE did a beautiful job on her quilt and it has already chalking up the ribbons in Canada fairs. Very worthy quilt. We formed international friendships on the Farmers Wife Sampler Quilt, and continued on into the Pony Club Quilt, and now refuse to part and give up our friendship that has developed working together. We continue to discuss, display, and share our lives in PC discussion pages where the author of those wonderful books joins us on occasion. Honchey has been a delightful leader, very patient with us through the journey. We are currently doing a Mystery Block each month as assigned by Honchey, and mailing it to its new owner. We still laugh, cry and make merry together in our virtual RV sharing recipes with one another. Join us there, we are so chatting, we have already reached 535 pages plus.

And if you ask any question of the group, they will assist, encourage, and delight in your success.

gailkv - The instructions for finishing are on pages 245 to 248 for all the sizes. The sashing strips are Template #106. I think they were 1 1/2" and finished at 1". Do post a photo when you get done, we would love to see it!

Yes, indeed GailKV ... do what suits you best and don't feel restricted by what the pattern says!
And definitely, please do show us a picture of your quilt .... WIP now would be nice ... and once completed too!

Thanks so much. I am thinking about sewing on the sashings as I go.

I just found this thread. Remembered seeing the blocks posted as they were being made. Everyone's quilts came out spectacular. I am slow in making mine. I have 29 blocks made and planning on making 50. Hoping to get the rest of the blocks made by January, 2014. Getting them all put together will be another story. Thanks for the inspiration.

Bluebell, speed isn't necessary here--these blocks were are not easy (at least they weren't for me!) I am a much better quilter since doing this quilt. I learned to be patient and precise. I can't wait to see your quilt. If you have any questions on any of the blocks, PM one of us that made them. You'll get lots of help and advice. Good luck!
