I never thought of tiles, what a great idea! I have a card table that I put a piece of plywood over the top to lay out my lap quilts. I could cover it with tiles. Thank you!

You did a great job using what you have and making it work for you.

Good looking tables! IMHO, doors make the BEST tables. I have 3 sewing machines set up on door/tables in my studio too.

Looks functional to me! I don't have a fancy table, either, just our old dining room table. It just happens to be at the right height.

Very clever and resourceful, which is why I love using scraps! Good job!

Looks like you 'opened' the door to a wonderful quilting space, great ideas. Keep the frugal hints coming as there is nothing wrong with recycling what we already have.

What a great, frugal way to make sewing tables - I especially like the one with tiles, as it probably would make the fabric slide easier. Don't concentrate on how little you spent, concentrate on how much fabric you can buy with the money you saved.

I think your tables are great! I repurposed an old office u-shaped unit for my sewing center. We all use what we have available!

doors are great for all kinds of things. I had a beautiful panelled door turned into a coffee table for the family room. I put a glass door nob in it too.
