I never thought of tiles, what a great idea! I have a card table that I put a piece of plywood over the top to lay out my lap quilts. I could cover it with tiles. Thank you!

Good looking tables! IMHO, doors make the BEST tables. I have 3 sewing machines set up on door/tables in my studio too.

Looks functional to me! I don't have a fancy table, either, just our old dining room table. It just happens to be at the right height.

What a great, frugal way to make sewing tables - I especially like the one with tiles, as it probably would make the fabric slide easier. Don't concentrate on how little you spent, concentrate on how much fabric you can buy with the money you saved.

I think your tables are great! I repurposed an old office u-shaped unit for my sewing center. We all use what we have available!

doors are great for all kinds of things. I had a beautiful panelled door turned into a coffee table for the family room. I put a glass door nob in it too.
