    I have some vintage silk pins which are about 1 1/8 inch long and they are awesome. So sharp and slip through anything.

    Thanks for the info. I thought .5 mm were the smallest I could get. Can't wait to try the smaller diameter.

    You'll want to toss your other pins! I am going to make those folded triangle balls to get rid of some of mine but don't know what to do with others with ball heads or flowers, etc. Once you use these, you won't go back to the others!

    Not sure if these are comparable to the clover ones. I recently purchased the Dritz, glass head pins for 11.00 with a 50% off coupon and thought I hit the jack pot....didn't think there was a difference between pins. I often think someone should write a guide for newbies....I have been quilting 20 years before stumbling upon this or ever hearing about gingher. Love love this board.

    These are the best pins ever! When I need heavier pin for a specific purpose it feels like a cow. And I am a born and bred farm girl still actively farming. So I know my cows!!!
