Medium wide border (3" perhaps) of cream/beige, narrow (1") solid color border (pick any color), then another medium wide border then bind. That will set a nice simple frame to help "settle" the whole picture.

Maybe compromise, go with a narrow boarder of 2". It looks fine the way it is, but even a narrow boarder can help the quilt wear better IMHO.

Beautiful quilt top! As suggested audition some borders and see what you would like, with or without. The quilt will look great either way. Your binding in a solid color will give it a nice edging as well.
