I too like your border. It does make the blocks POP. Nice quilt.

I like it as the border. The fabric is already being used in your quilt in the least amount so it works being used as the border. I agree that the binding can be gold.

Take the quilt to your LQS and audition other colors for borders to see if you like others best. I agree with another post that you may be questioning your choice if you are asking us.

I really like the gold border around the pieced top before the wider outer border. Is the width of the outer border you show in the picture, the width you need it to be to get it up to your bed size? I'd like the fabric for that outer border, since it is included within the pieced top. At first I was thinking use one of the darker blues for that outer border, but after looking more, I'd keep what you have. I'm undecided about the binding. I'm thinking either the orangey-gold or the same as the outer border. Are you keeping this quilt? Is it going in a specific room in your home? If it needs to fit into a color scheme, that might determine your answers.
