Default Kenmore 48 sewing machine - need advice

I just purchased a Kenmore model 48 sewing machine from an estate sale and it needs a new belt. I can't figure out how to change it. Does anyone have any infomation on this?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

I think you can download a manual for free from Sears.com. Good Luck!

I have the manual but it doesn't show how to change the belt. As a matter of fact, it's the worst manual I've ever seen for a sewing machine.

Can you post a picture of the machine? Belt changing is usually pretty straight forward, but every now and again a company will get crazy with their machine design and make it more complicated than necessary to do simple maintenance.
