Boomerang 9.0 PACIFIC O Group Thread

Everything urgodschild2 said..I agree with! I had hand surgery 3 weeks ago and a cast on for another 3 weeks. This is right in the middle of Boom 9, but I know I will make the deadline because of the 4 month turn around...we never know what life throws at us! I vote to leave it at 4 months.

I joined the boom for one reason - to stretch myself. We all can take our material and make blocks for them - but when someone else takes the time and their stash to make something it means alot. There are some fabrics that I look at for months - just can't figure out what to make. Other fabrics speak to me immedialtely! I don't want to be rushed, although I am almost done.
I hope none of my blocks are short - if so let me know and I will buy a new 12.5" square ruler.
And I have a two blocks from the fall that I am making into pillow tops cause I love them so much!

I have a question for you ladies: Would anyone be offended if I used blocks from the boom (this and the one from the fall) to make quilts either for gifts or donation to our local children's receiving home? I had intended to use almost all of the blocks for both to make a single quilt for a niece but it she wants a specific kind of design.
I don't want to offend anyone by "giving away" their work and that's why I'm asking.

I have finished all my blocks and they will go into the mail on Monday. Thanks everyone for all the wonderful blocks I am getting. I cannot get my pictures to load so I cannot show them off. Let me know if you don't have your blocks by the end of next week everyone should have them. Can't wait for the next swap. Already have an idea of what I want to do.

Just talked to the brat and she is getting released this evening. Been in that hospital for a week now and she's very glad to be going home. She said she is having terrible withdrawal symptoms from not sewing If I haven't said Happy Happy Easter everyone.

Oooh that is pretty! And the block I received yesterday from you (oldcatlady - love that name!) looks awesome with the rest! They are all up on my wall interviewing sashing and border colors. Thanks for all that you swappers put into your blocks, each is a treasure. I use many of the swap blocks to make charity quilts, and they have been joyfully received and commented on. And I often learn a new block by studying yours and trying it myself. What fun!
